DAYTON, OH – The West Michigan Whitecaps ballgame for Wednesday night against the Dayton Dragons has been postponed due to wet grounds at Day Air Ballpark.

Scattered thunderstorm showers swept through the Dayton area throughout Wednesday afternoon. Despite the rain tapering off over an hour after the scheduled start time, field conditions were deemed unplayable, leading to the decision to postpone a Whitecaps game for the fifth time this season.

Wednesday’s game will be made up in a Thursday doubleheader beginning at 5:35 pm. Thursday is scheduled to be the fifth doubleheader for West Michigan this season. It will mark the second time the Dragons and ‘Caps have played a pair of games on the same day this season; as the two teams resumed a suspended game followed by a seven-inning contest the teams split in West Michigan on May 26.
