The Tri-City Dust Devils (13-15) lost 5-4 in ten innings to the Hillsboro Hops (20-8) on Friday night at Ron Tonkin Field. Jordan Guerrero issued a bases-loaded walk to Francis Martinez that allowed the winning run to score for Hillsboro.
What was once a three-run lead, slipped away from the Dust Devils in the middle innings of the game. After Hillsboro rallied to tie the game in the bottom of the sixth inning, neither team would score again until extra innings. It was ultimately the walk issued by Guerrero on a full count with two outs in the bottom of the tenth inning that led to the Hops securing the walk-off win.  
 
Left-hander Ramon Perez will start the fourth game of the five-game series on Saturday night. Hillsboro will counter with right-hander Adrian Del Moral. The next home game for Tri-City will be on Monday, July 16. The opener of the eight-game homestand will be Home Run Derby Night presented by The Batters Box and a Coca-Cola Monday, where all 22 oz.
