Nolan Ryan Foundation Expands Outreach

Nolan Ryan Exhibit to Relocate to Waco
February 19, 2016

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Nolan Ryan Foundation is entering into a new phase of operations and educational programming.

The Foundation's board of directors has decided to expand its outreach in several ways. The Nolan Ryan Exhibit in Alvin, Texas will relocate to the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in Waco. The exhibit opened in 1999 at the Ryan Center on the campus of Alvin Community College.

"We have enjoyed our relationship with ACC and are proud that the Ryan Center is located on the campus of the college," said Nolan Ryan. The Ryan Center was the first major project by the Foundation and was donated to Alvin Community College in the fall of 1996. Besides the Ryan Exhibit, the Center was utilized for continuing education classes as well as many college and community events.

"While we have enjoyed great community support during our years of operation at the exhibit, we are excited about this move because we will be able to reach many more visitors annually at this central Texas location," board member Reese Ryan said.

Offices of the Nolan Ryan Foundation will relocate to Round Rock, Texas, in January of 2017 and online sales of autographed items will continue to be available through the current website: www.nolanryanfoundation.org.

The Foundation will continue to support education and community development in the Alvin area. "We are excited to take the next step in the evolution of the Foundation and look forward to a streamlined and focused operation that will allow us to use our resources in the most effective manner," Reese Ryan said. "Home is where the heart is, and Alvin will always be part of our family and our foundation focus," added Ruth Ryan.

The Nolan Ryan Foundation was formed as a not-for-profit 501c(3) organization in 1990 with a mission of providing resources for youth, education and community development.
