Homestand Highlights: April 29 - May 8

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA - The Gwinnett Braves return home for their longest homestand of the 2016 season, a nine-game, 10-day slate from Friday, April 29 through Sunday, May 8. The G-Braves host the Columbus Clippers (Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians) from April 29-May 1, the Toledo Mud Hens (Triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers) from May 2-4 and the Charlotte Knights (Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox) from May 6-8.

The homestand includes Fox 5 Fireworks Fridays on April 29 and May 6, the Brian Snitker Bobblehead giveaway on April 30, "Bark in the Park" on May 1, "Star Wars Night" on May 7 and Mother's Day on May 8. The G-Braves will also host the first of two "Education Days," presented by Belk, on May 4 with a 10:35 a.m. first pitch.

Friday, April 29

  • Strike Out Hunger! presented by Fifth Third Bank - Fans who bring three or more non-perishable food donations to benefit the Atlanta Community Food Bank will receive $5 in Braves Bucks.
  • Fireworks Friday - Stick around after the game for a spectacular fireworks display, presented by Fox 5 Atlanta.

 

Saturday, April 30

Features:

  • Strike Out Hunger! presented by Fifth Third Bank - Fans who bring three or more non-perishable food donations to benefit the Atlanta Community Food Bank will receive $5 in Braves Bucks.
  • Brian Snitker Bobblehead - The first 2,500 fans will receive a bobblehead honoring G-Braves' manager Brian Snitker, who celebrates his 40th season with the Atlanta Braves in 2016.

 

Sunday, May 1

Columbus Clippers (Cleveland Indians) vs. Gwinnett Braves, 2:05 p.m.

National Anthem performed by: River Eves Elementary

Features:

  • Bark in the Park - Bring your dog to the Coolray Field Lawn to enjoy some Sunday afternoon baseball.
  • Sunday Funday - Fans are invited to play catch on the field before the game from 1:10-1:25 p.m. and kids (ages 12 and under) are welcome to run the bases following the game as part of "Sunday Funday" presented by Georgia United Credit Union.

 

Monday, May 2

Toledo Mud Hens (Detroit Tigers) vs. Gwinnett Braves, 7:05 p.m.

Tuesday, May 3

  • Mother's Day - Celebrate with your mom at Coolray Field! Gildan will host a "Pampering in the Park" station (featuring massages and manicures) and will also be giving out free t-shirts.
  • Sunday Funday - Fans are invited to play catch on the field before the game from 1:10-1:25 p.m. and kids (ages 12 and under) are welcome to run the bases following the game as part of "Sunday Funday" presented by Georgia United Credit Union.
