Peter Brady to Pinch-Hit for Potsie

Christopher Knight to Appear at The Diamond on April 26th
April 15, 2011
RICHMOND, VA - The Flying Squirrels have announced that Christopher Knight, who played

"Peter Brady" on the 1970s television series The Brady Bunch, will appear at The Diamond on Tuesday, April 26th. Knight will appear in the place of

Anson "Potsie" Williams, who encountered a scheduling conflict, and could not attend.

Knight, best known for his role as Peter Brady, has gone on to a lengthy television career. In the past decade, he has taken part in the VH1 reality series The Surreal Life. He was a cast member during the fourth season of the show, and eventually married co-star, Adrianne Curry. His relationship with the winner of America's Next Top Model led to another VH1 reality series, My Fair Brady, which the couple starred in.

"While disappointed that Potsie couldn't make it, we're thrilled to bring in a celebrity of Christopher's stature as part of our Retro-Celebrity Series," said Flying Squirrels' Vice President & COO Todd "Parney" Parnell. "I have worked with Christopher in the past, and he has never failed to delight everyone in attendance."

Knight will be on hand for a special meet-and-greet at the ballpark from 5 pm - 6 pm in the PFG Picnic Zone. Tickets for the special meet and greet are only $28 and include a Diamond Club ticket to the game as well as a two hour all you can eat buffet. He will throw out a first pitch, take part in various ballpark promotions and be available for autographs and photographs with fans. The Retro-Celebrity Series will also include visits by Erik "Ponch" Estrada on May 25th and Dennis "Mr. Belding" Haskins on June 15th.

Individual game tickets for the three Retro-Celebrity Series appearances are currently available and can be purchased by calling (804) 359-FUNN (3866), visiting the Flying Squirrels' Ticket Office at The Diamond or logging on to SquirrelsBaseball.com.
