BlueClaws Announce First Wave of 2017 Promotions
LAKEWOOD, NJ - A Saturday concert series, the return of award-winning Harry Potter Night, and other theme days highlight the first wave of 2017 BlueClaws promotional nights, the team announced.

The BlueClaws will debut in 2017 an all-new Summer Concert Series that kicks off on May 27th, the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. At each of eight Saturday home games from May 27th through the end of the season, ballpark gates will open early for fans to enjoy live music and $2.50 Miller Lite.
Announced bands include Ted Hammock & The Pickles (May 27th, 2 pm), Parrot Beach Band for the BlueClaws Parrot Head Party (July 1st, 5 pm), Kilmaine Saints for Irish Heritage Night (August 5th, 5 pm), and The Impulsives for Battle of the Badges Night (August 19th, 5 pm). Other bands will be announced at a later date.
Harry Potter Night, which last year was named Minor League Baseball Promotion of the Month for May and was a finalist for a Golden Bobblehead Award, returns on May 26th. Presented by University Radiology, the night also includes a Harry Potter Magic Mug Giveaway that displays a design when filled with hot water.
The biggest, brightest, most colorful fireworks shows at the Shore will follow 14 different games in 2017. There will be fireworks after all 11 Friday home games. Plus, there will be fireworks following the Sunday, May 28th game on Memorial Day weekend, Buster's Independence Weekend Celebration includes fireworks after the Monday, July 3rd game, and the end-of-summer Fireworks Bonanza follows the Sunday, September 3rd game.
The team has also announced several giveaways for 2017, led by two bobble-pieces. On June 17th, as part of the "A BlueClaws Christmas Story," the first 1,500 fans receive a BlueClaws Leg Lamp Bobble thanks to Investors Bank.
Phillies third baseman and 2011-12 BlueClaw Maikel Franco is immortalized with his bobblehead giveaway (first 1,500 fans) on July 13th thanks to RWJBarnabas Health.
The BlueClaws previously announced that they will be wearing their original pin-striped uniforms and "Pinchy" caps at each Thursday game this year. On July 27th, the first 1,5000 fans will receive a BlueClaws "Throwback Thursday" Pennant Flag thanks to Central Jersey Blood Center.
The Phillie Phanatic will make two appearances again this year. He'll be at the ballpark on Friday, July 14th and Tuesday, August 15th (presented by OceanFirst Bank).
