International League
Jae Seo, Durham
2-0, 0.73 ERA, 2 G, 2 GS, 12.1 IP, 10 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 11 SO
Seo rebounded strong this week after giving up nine runs on 12 hits in a loss to Rochester on June 27. The South Korea native picked up wins in his next two outings against Toledo and Buffalo, allowing just one run on 10 hits and striking out 11 in 12 1/3 innings. Seo, who was sent down from the Majors earlier this season, improved his record with the Bulls to 3-1.

Pacific Coast League
Mike Smith, Memphis
2-0, 1.50 ERA, 2 G, 2 GS, 12.0 IP, 9 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 11 SO
Smith improved to 8-7 after picking up wins against New Orleans and Albuquerque. The Redbirds right-hander scattered six hits on two runs against the Zephyrs on Tuesday before pitching an even better game Sunday. Smith tossed six shutout innings against the Isotopes, giving up just three hits and a walk while striking out seven. Smith's eight wins are tied for second-best in the league.

Eastern League
Jason Jones, Trenton
2-0, 0.90 ERA, 2 G, 2 GS, 10.0 IP, 9 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 SO
Harrisburg players can breathe a collective sigh of relief after knowing they probably won't have to face Jones again for a while. The 24-year-old right-hander terrorized the Senators in consecutive games last week. In his first outing against Harrisburg at home July 2, Jones allowed one run on six hits in five innings in the team's 9-1 win. Six days later, he shut out the Senators on the road after giving up just three hits in five innings in a 6-0 win.

Southern League
Mike Megrew, Jacksonville
2-0, 4.09 ERA, 2 G, 2 GS, 11 IP, 10 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 6 BB, 18 SO
Megrew started and won twice this week, picking up a remarkable 18 strikeouts over just 11 innings. The 23-year-old whiffed eight batters over five innings against Mobile on Monday, and bettered that five days later by fanning 10 over six innings against Carolina. Megrew did not even allow a hit in the contest until there were two outs in the fifth frame. He has picked up a victory in each of his last three decisions, and hasn't lost a game since May 31.

Texas League
Armando Galarraga, Frisco
1-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 G, 1 GS, 9.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 9 SO
The Fourth of July had plenty of fireworks for the RoughRiders as Galarraga hurled a one-hitter and blanked Arkansas, 3-0, for his first complete game in nearly two years. The 25-year-old right-hander from Venezuela struck out a career-high nine batters and allowed only one runner past first base.

California League
Michael Rozier, Lancaster
2-0, 1.42 ERA, 2 G, 2 GS, 12.2 IP, 14 H, 4 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 13 SO
In his two outings this week, Rozier looked nothing like the man who gave up nine runs in 2 2/3 innings against Bakersfield on June 27. In his two road victories against Rancho Cucamonga and Stockton, the 22-year-old southpaw allowed just two earned runs on 14 hits and two walks while striking out 13 batters to improve to 4-5. Rozier leads all Lancaster pitchers with 63 strikeouts this season.

Carolina League
Gary Bakker, Winston-Salem
1-0, 0.00 ERA, 2 G, 2 GS, 10.0 IP, 7 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 5 BB, 9 SO
The reliever-turned-starter has found a lot more success in his new role. After posting a 5.61 ERA in 18 games as a reliever, Bakker has given up next to nothing in his three games as a starter. Such was the case last week as the former University of North Carolina standout didn't allow any earned runs in two consecutive games. Bakker gave up just seven hits and struck out nine in 10 combined innings against Frederick and Kinston, lowering his ERA as a starter to 1.80.

Florida State League
Kevin Whelan, Tampa
1-0, 0.00 ERA, 2 G, 2 GS, 10.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 8 SO
Whelan's been dealin' quality innings for Tampa since getting sent down from Double-A Trenton earlier this season. The 23-year-old right-hander pitched five innings of no-run ball against Clearwater on Monday, but failed to get the win in the team's 2-1 loss. That didn't seem to worry him though. He came back to throw another five-inning shutout, giving up just one hit and striking out five against Dunedin to pick up his first win with the Yankees.

Midwest League
Andrew Underwood, Fort Wayne
2-0, 1.20 ERA, 2 G, 2 GS, 15.0 IP, 10 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 6 SO
Underwood got his season record back up to .500 by picking up wins in two masterful pitching performances last week. The former Fresno State pitcher allowed one run on six hits Tuesday against West Michigan and followed that with another gem against Lansing on Sunday, giving up one run on four hits while striking out four to improve to 6-6. Underwood leads all Fort Wayne pitchers with 88 2/3 innings pitched.

South Atlantic League
Kevin Pucetas, Augusta
1-0, 0.64 ERA, 2 G, 2 GS, 14.0 IP, 8 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 7 SO
Pucetas' dominant outings were just microcosms of the unbelievable season he's having with the GreenJackets. Pucetus, who leads the Sally League with a 1.42 ERA and is second with 10 wins, allowed just one run in 14 innings of combined work against Hickory and Greenville. The 22-year-old right-hander is tied for the team lead in strikeouts (70), second in wins (10) and his opponents are hitting a mere .201 against him.

New York-Penn League
Nicholas Chigges, Staten Island
1-0, 0.00 ERA, 3 G, 2 GS, 12.0 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 6 BB, 18 SO
Chigges had a rough start to his professional career, picking up losses in his first three outings. However, he seemed to have found his groove last week, not allowing any runs in three appearances. The former College of Charleston pitcher tossed three innings of one-hit ball Monday and came back the next day to pitch five innings of no-run ball in relief for his first win of the season. He was nearly unhittable against Batavia five days later, surrendering just one hit in four innings. Chigges' 31 strikeouts are second in the league.

Northwest League
Jeremy Hefner, Eugene
0-0, 0.00 ERA, 2 G, 1 GS, 7.0 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 13 SO
Hefner has proved in his short career that he can be effective coming out of the 'pen or starting a game. After entering his first three games as a reliever, Hefner shined in his first professional start on the Fourth of July, scattering two hits and striking out five in four innings of work. He came out of the 'pen in his next outing four days later and blanked Vancouver for three innings. The Tulsa, Okla., native has given up just one run and seven hits in 12 1/3 innings this season.

Appalachian League
Nicholas Addition, Johnson City
0-0, 0.82 ERA, 2 G, 1 GS, 8.0 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 7 SO
His last name may be Addition, but you don't have to be a math whiz to see why this 19-year-old southpaw earned POW honors. Addition gave up just one earned run this past week, giving up three hits in five innings against first-place Elizabethton on Wednesday before chipping in another three innings of scoreless work against Bristol on Sunday.

Pioneer League
Curtis Pasma, Helena
0-0, 0.00 ERA, 2 G, 0 GS, 1 SV, 8.0 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 10 SO
Though the season is still young, Pasma has become a steady force out of the Brewers bullpen. The former University of the Pacific southpaw earned his first save Monday after striking out six and not allowing any runs over four innings against Great Falls. His success continued five days later against Billings, pitching four more innings of scoreless baseball while surrendering just two hits and striking out four.
