Milwaukee, Wisc.-Wisconsin starting pitcher Drew Gagnon tossed eight scoreless innings as the Timber Rattlers topped the Dayton Dragons 3-0 on Friday night. Wisconsin's win allowed them to take two-out-of-three in the series, ending a string of three straight series victories for the Dragons, who fell to 11-11 on the year.

The game was played at Miller Park, home of the Milwaukee Brewers, making it the first Dragons game in a major league ballpark in franchise history. The attendance was 6,616.

Gagnon (2-0) allowed just four hits and one walk to continuation what has been a sensational season. Through 28.2 innings on the year, he has allowed just two runs.

Wisconsin struck early, scoring three runs in the first inning before Dragons starting pitcher Radhames Quezada recorded an out. Chadwin Stang opened the inning with a line drive single to center and Brandon Macias followed by lining one off Quezada for an infield single. Max Walla then drilled a home run to the right field seats to make it 3-0. There was no scoring in the game after the first inning.

Quezada worked the first four innings, allowing three hits and three runs with two walks and four strikeouts. He suffered the loss and fell to 0-3.

The Dragons collected four hits. Juan Perez's fourth inning double was the only extra base hit.

On Saturday, the Dragons will meet the Beloit Snappers at 5:00 p.m. (EDT). Daniel Tuttle (0-0, 3.00) will start for Dayton against Beloit's Tim Shibuya (1-1, 2.55). The next home game is Wednesday, May 2 against the Lake County Captains.
