Baysox Host 1K Beer Run
Baysox Assistant General Manager Phil Wrye helped plan the event. "The 1K Beer Run is an event we have never tried before, but something that I think our fans will enjoy," Wrye said. "It's a great way to start off your Memorial Day weekend by having fun down on the field level before the start of the game."
Each participant will make three laps around the warning track circling the field at Prince George's Stadium, receiving a 12 oz. beer at the end of each lap to drink while completing the next lap. The event is intended to be a fun way to spend the evening, enjoying a cold beer while also getting some exercise before watching a Baysox game from some of the best seats in the house.
The ticket package includes a Box Seat ticket for the game, three 12 oz. beer tickets to be redeemed during the race and access to the field for the 1K Beer Run. The event will be limited to the first 100 individuals to purchase tickets. Tickets are $18 and must be ordered by 5:00 p.m. Thursday, May 24. All participants must at least 21 years of age by the event date Saturday, May 26, 2012 and have a valid, government issued photo I.D. to present on the event date. Tickets can be ordered by visiting www.baysoxshop.com.
