SYRACUSE, NY. - The Syracuse Chiefs today announced that tickets for the team's May 18, 2008 game to be played in Cooperstown, NY will go on sale Saturday, March 1 at 10:00 am.

The relocation of the regular season game against the Rochester Red Wings, which has been dubbed the Cooperstown Classic, is a part of the 125th anniversary celebration of the International League.

"Not only is this an amazing opportunity for our team, but for our fans as well," Syracuse Chiefs General Manager John Simone said. "It isn't everyday that Syracuse fans are able participate in a game of this historical magnitude at such a sacred location. It will provide fans with the opportunity to witness a professional, regular season game at Doubleday Field, a special event in itself."

In addition to game tickets, fans can purchase packages that include a game ticket, reduced price admission tickets to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, and Cooperstown Classic memorabilia. A game day bus package has also been made available to aid fans with transportation to Cooperstown.

The Chiefs will also be offering a package that includes admission to an extremely exclusive, after-hours reception featuring an appearance by a Hall of Fame player. The reception will be held in the Hall of Fame following the game and will also be attended by Chiefs and Red Wings players. Reception tickets are available on a first come, first served basis from the Chiefs ticket office.
