FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno Grizzlies Community Fund is proud to announce it has entered into a partnership with Wawona Frozen Foods as part of the Grizzlies Community Fund's Farm Grown program. As partners, Wawona Frozen Foods will help support the Grizzlies Community Fund's community programs through 2014. Also as part of the partnership, Wawona Frozen Foods will sell its food products at Chukchansi Park, with a portion of the sales donated to the Grizzlies Community Fund.

"We would like to welcome Wawona Frozen Foods as a partner in the Farm Grown program," said Managing General Partner and Team President Chris Cummings. "Their support will be felt throughout the season as they donate proceeds of sales from their products at Chukchansi Park. Wawona Frozen Foods will be a valuable partner for the Grizzlies Community Fund as the nonprofit organization moves to extend its reach to agricultural communities of the Central Valley in 2013 and beyond."

Wawona Frozen Foods is a family-owned company located in the Central San Joaquin Valley for over 50 years. The company manufactures fresh frozen fruit products for food manufacturers, food service distributors, restaurants and resorts, supermarkets and school feeding. Over 100 Wawona products are sold and distributed in North America.

The Farm Grown program is entering its second year of existence in 2013. The program's mission is to promote the agricultural heritage and philanthropic vitality of the Central San Joaquin Valley through the building of meaningful partnerships in support of education and healthy living. Farm Grown helps support the Grizzlies Community Fund's community programs such as Wild About Reading and Junior Grizzlies baseball league. Other components of the Farm Grown program include grants and scholarships for students focusing on an education in agriculture and Farmer's Markets at Grizzlies games that support the Grizzlies Community Fund.
