GreenJackets and San Francisco Giants Announce Extension
AUGUSTA, GA - The Augusta GreenJackets and the San Francisco Giants, announced a two-year extension of the Player Development Contract (PDC) between the two organizations today. The GreenJackets-Giants relationship dates back to 2005 and 2015 will mark the 11th season of the partnership. Under the new agreement the GreenJackets will remain a Giants' affiliate through the 2016 season.
Throughout this partnership, the GreenJackets have been the first stop for many of the Giants' current stars on the big league club including 2012 World Series MVP and GreenJackets Hall of Famer Pablo Sandoval, 2008 SAL Pitcher of the Year Madison Bumgarner, as well as Sergio Romo to name a few.

They have been great partners and we have enjoyed great on-field success here in Augusta over the past decade. This is an exciting time in GreenJackets history and we look forward to celebrating many more years with the Giants to come."
During the partnership, the GreenJackets have qualified for the South Atlantic League playoffs in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2011 and 2013. In 2008, the 'Jackets won their 4th South Atlantic League Championship and in 2009 the GreenJackets had the best overall record in the SAL South. The GreenJackets have compiled an impressive 784-598 record under the Giants leadership.
