Sean Guenther made his 5th start of the season for the Hammerheads Wednesday night. Guenther ran into a jam early on, but managed to hold Daytona scoreless through 6 2/3 innings. With runners on first and second for the Tortugas, a double sent down the left field line plated two runs to take a 2-0 lead.
However, the Hammerheads would bounce back. After notching their first hit of the game in the 7th inning, momentum flipped as Justin Twine nearly missed a home run off the left field wall, driving in Roy Morales and Eric Guttierrez to tie the game, 2-2.

The game would remain tied going into the bottom of the 11th inning thanks to outstanding relief pitching by Lukas Schiraldi and Dylan Lee.
In Jupiter's half of the 11th, Aaron Knapp advanced to third on a wild pitch with zero outs, forcing Daytona to intentionally walked the next two batters to face Riley Mahan.
The Tortugas elected to bring in their right-fielder as a 5th infielder, leaving just two to cover the outfield. After fighting off several pitches, Mahan sent a ball deep down the left field line that dropped fair.
Aaron Knapp jugged home for the winning score as the Hammerheads rushed the field to swarm Mahan at second base.
Jupiter is now 5-0 in extra-inning games this season and some may credit a new Jupiter Hammerheads tradition called "Rally Time" for their extra inning success.
With the series even 1-1, the Hammerheads look to take game three Thursday night.
First pitch set for 6:30p.m.
