Oklahoma City, OK – Despite a two-run double by Alan Trejo in the first inning, Albuquerque’s momentum quickly evaporated as the host Oklahoma City Dodgers (17-11) plated multiple crooked numbers on their way to a 9-2 win over the Isotopes (12-16) on Friday evening at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Following a leadoff walk by Tim Lopes and a two-out hit by pitch taken by Carlos Pérez, Trejo came through with his clutch knock, delivering his first two RBI at Triple-A this season to make it 2-0 Albuquerque.

The Dodgers quickly answered in the home first when the first five batters recorded a hit off starting pitcher Dillon Overton (2-3), highlighted by a leadoff home run by Kevin Pillar. Overton was able to strand the bases loaded in the first but the Dodgers had a 3-2 lead.

Oklahoma City plated a run in the second, two more in the third, then two in the sixth to put the game firmly out of reach.

Topes Scope: - Pillar’s leadoff homer was the first game-opening long ball surrendered by Albuquerque pitching since Alek Thomas did so for Reno last Sept. 27. Pillar’s two home runs marked the fourth instance for the Isotopes being the victim of a multi-homer game this year (Ryan Noda, 4/10 at OKC; Kevin Padlo, 4/14 vs. TAC; Padlo 5/1 vs. SAC).

- Oklahoma City’s two-run sixth inning means Albuquerque is now being outscored 35-11 in the sixth frame this season.

- Lopes threw out a runner trying to score at the plate from left field in the fifth, recording Albuquerque’s second outfield assist of the season. Ryan Vilade picked up the other assist.

- Despite not starting the game, Wynton Bernard went 2-for-2 after entering via defensive substitution in the fifth. Bernard now has nine multi-hit games out of 17 contests in which he has batted this season, raising his batting average to .419 (26-for-62).

- Isotopes pitching allowed a season-high 17 hits in the game; their most since Las Vegas collected 18 on Aug. 22, 2021.

On Deck: Right-handed pitcher Brandon Gold (0-0, 4.60) makes his second start of the season as Albuquerque attempts to get back in the win column Saturday at 6:05 MT (7:05 CT). Lefty Robbie Erlin (2-1, 5.82) will start for Oklahoma City.
