(Prensa Mariachis de Guadalajara) 1 de julio de 2023.- El relevista de los Algodoneros, Thomas Mcllraith contuvo una amenaza de los Mariachis, con bases llenas sin out en el cierre del noveno inning y el Unión Laguna lo respaldó con dos carreras en el décimo, para vencer este sábado por 6-4 a Guadalajara y asegurar la serie.
Después de cometer un error en un mal tiro a primera base que permitió a Óliver Zepeda llegar a tercera base en el noveno capítulo, McIIraith regaló dos bases por bolas intencionales para llenar la casa de Mariachis.
A continuación, el relevista de los Algodoneros ponchó a Fernando Pérez y a José Carlos Orrantia y luego despachó a Gilberto Vizcarra con rola a la intermedia para mantener el empate a cuatro anotaciones.
En el décimo rollo, el Unión Laguna hizo dos carreras ante el relevista Jonathan Aro (3-1) y luego Mcllraith (4-1) colgó su segundo cero, para acreditarse la victoria en el Estadio Panamericano Beekon.

Tras un out, Adrián Tovalín recibió base por bolas y Dean Nevarez fue dominado con elevado al bosque derecho; cuando bateaba Alejandro Flores, Tovalín se robó la intermedia y se fue hasta la antesala aprovechando un mal tiro del catcher Gilberto Vizcarra..
Flores recibió pasaporte y Édgar Robles continuó con un roletazo por segunda base, donde Issmael Salas cometió error y en la jugada anotó Tovalín.
Los visitantes igualaron la pizarra en el quinto capítulo. Allen Córdoba se embasó en infieldhit por primera base y Nick Torres pegó sencillo al jardín izquierdo.
Jonathan Villar empalmó doblete impulsador al izquierdo y Henry Rodríguez conectó un elevado de sacrificio remolcador al prado derecho, donde Oswaldo Arcia hizo una gran atrapada y aunque no evitó el pisa y corre de Torres, si logró iniciar una jugada en la que Villar terminó puesto out en home.
Los Algodoneros se fueron arriba en el sexto rollo. Con uno fuera, Nevarez empalmó doblete al bosque izquierdo, Flores murió con rola a primera base, pero Robles conectó hit productor al derecho y puso las cosas 4-3.
En el cierre del sexto acto, Josh Rodríguez se voló la barda del prado central y empató la batalla.
Guadalajara tuvo una gran oportunidad de ganar el encuentro en el noveno inning, pero McIIraith se fajó el colgó el cero.
En la décima entrada, Nick Torres inició turno por los laguneros y conectó hit al bosque derecho, para luego avanzar a tercera con incogible de Luis Sardiñas al mismo prado; Jonathan Villar continuó con elevado de sacrificio productor y puso a su escuadra camino al triunfo.
La serie terminará este domingo en el inmueble de Zapopan y el encuentro está programado a las 15:00 horas. Los pitchers anunciados son José Samayoa (2-3) por los locales y Rafael Pineda (0-2) por los laguneros.
