CURVE, PA – Johnstown, PA native, Trey McGough, picked up his third victory of the season and Josh Bissonette smashed a three-run homer in the third inning to lead the Curve to a 4-3 win over the Harrisburg Senators in front of 6,131 fans at Peoples Natural Gas Field on Tuesday night.

McGough, who took a loss in each of his first two starts with Altoona, turned in his seventh consecutive solid start on Tuesday evening. McGough finished six innings and allowed three runs or less for the third time in his last seven starts, he struck out four and walked just one batter on 77 pitches, 57 strikes.

After Harrisburg took a 2-0 lead on a Rhett Wiseman homer, the Curve worked back-to-back walks to start the bottom of the third. Bissonette then stepped to the plate against lefty Tim Cate and smashed the offering he saw into the Budweiser Party Deck to take a 3-2 lead. The Senators would draw even in the top of the fourth before Jonah Davis singled in Cal Mitchell in the bottom half of the inning to take a lead that McGough and the Curve pitching staff would protect the rest of the way.

McGough set down 7-of-the-final-8 batters he faced to finish off his outing and give way to the Curve bullpen. Brad Case needed just 11 pitches to put up a scoreless seventh inning on the mound and Cam Alldred worked around a leadoff single to keep the Senators off the board.

Cristofer Melendez worked around a base hit and an error to strand two men in scoring position and record his fourth save of the season. Melendez has thrown six consecutive scoreless innings and has struck out 13 batters in his last nine innings pitched.

Cal Mitchell added a two-hit day at the plate to pace the Curve offense. Ji-Hwan Bae added a first inning double in the win.
