A first-inning RBI double from Mineo had New Hampshire in front 1-0 until the seventh inning, when Hartford scored three unearned runs to take a 3-1 lead.
Diaz (6.2 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 5 K), was one strike away from seven shutout innings, but a two-out rally loaded the bases and forced the Fisher Cats' starter from the game.
Taylor Saucedo (W, 1) inherited three runners, which all scored on a pair of errors. Manny Melendez's ground ball skipped off the first baseman's glove, scoring two, and the throw into third bounced away from the bag, plating another run. Saucedo would scatter two hits with two strikeouts in his 1.1 innings of work.
New Hampshire responded in the bottom of the seventh.
The win improved New Hampshire to 7-7, and gives the Fisher Cats a chance to surpass .500 on Friday night for the first time in 2019. They'll host Hartford again at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium, with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
