Burlington, V.T.- Using a seven-run 4th inning, the Crosscutters ran their current win streak to three games with a 9-2 win over Vermont in a rain shortened game.

Ethan Lindow got the start for the Crosscutters, and cruised through the first two innings, facing the minimum against Vermont. The Lake Monsters took advantage of a lead off walk, followed by a double in the bottom of the 3rd inning, using a pair of sacrifice flies to take a 2-0 lead.
Run support, or a lack there of, has been an issue in Lindow's six previous starts. Williamsport's offense came to the aide of Lindow in the top of the 4th inning, plating seven runs to take the lead for good.
Williamsport used a double from Ben Pelletier, a single from Ben Aklinski and a walk drawn by Seth Lancaster to load the bases with one out for Keudy Bocio, who plated Pelletier with a sacrifice fly to center, cutting the deficit to 2-1.
Jeusus Henriquez tied the game with a RBI single, making it 2-2. Rafael Marchan gave the Cutters the lead with a bloop single, making it 3-2, and then with the bases loaded Madison Stokes drew a walk to force home Henriquez making it 4-2.
Edwin Rodriguez capped the scoring with a bases clearing double, scoring Marchan, Jonathan Guzman and Stokes to give the Cutters a 7-2 4th inning lead, scoring six of the seven runs with two outs in the frame.
Lindow ran into some trouble in the bottom of the 4th inning, allowing three-straight, one-out singles, to load the bases full of Lake Monsters. The southpaw responded with two consecutive strikeouts to leave the bases at capacity and not surrender a run.
The Crosscutters took advantage of three Vermont errors and a slew of wild pitches in the top of the 5th inning, seeing Bocio and Henriquez score to make it a 9-2 Williamsport lead.
Looking to finish the minimum five innings, Lindow retired Vermont in order in the bottom of the 5th inning, using a pair of ground ball outs to do so.
With two outs and a runner at 1st base in the bottom of the 6th inning, the rains came, forcing the game into a rain delay with Williamsport leading 9-2. The game would be called after a 30 minute rain delay, giving Lindow his 1st win in a Crosscutters uniform.
The Crosscutters conclude their three-game series in Vermont tomorrow. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
