Three fireworks shows, "Friends" tribute highlight opening homestand

The new year begins with a bang … as in three consecutive nights with fireworks to welcome baseball back to Frisco. The three pyrotechnic displays are the first of 24 total shows this year and include returning favorite Fireworks Friday, plus the debut of Sky-Lit Saturday, presented by Lexus.
Opening Day, presented by White Claw is Thursday, April 4 at 7:05 p.m. In addition to the postgame fireworks show, the evening also marks the first Deep Ellum Brewing Party @ The Yard of the season, and all fans can take advantage of Thirsty Thursday drink specials to welcome the new season.
The next night, the Riders celebrate the hit TV show Friends when they host "The One With The RoughRiders". The evening includes a special appearance from James Michael Tyler, who played Gunther. Additionally, the first 1,500 fans receive a special Friends-themed Riders coffee mug, and the Bull Moose Saloon will be transformed into Central Perk.
The club rounds out opening weekend on Sunday, April 7 with a Whataburger Art Calendar giveaway, while also staging Autism Awareness Night at the ballpark. See below for a full list of events during the opening homestand.

* Deep Ellum Brewing Party @ The Yard: Be part of the BIGGEST party in North Texas, which includes $1 beers, a live DJ and a great social scene. Tickets start at just $10 and fans can upgrade their party by taking it to the lazy river for just $25 (fans 21 & older only).
* Thirsty Thursday: Quench your thirst with $1 domestic draft beers, $2 craft and imports, and $1 Dr Pepper products from 6-8 p.m.

Friday, April 5 vs. Midland - 7:05 p.m.
* "The One With The RoughRiders": The Riders salute the hit show Friends with a visit from James Michael Tyler (Gunther) and the first 1,500 fans take home a Friends-themed Riders coffee mug.
* Frisco ISD Night, Presented by Whataburger: The Riders welcome students and families from across Frisco ISD for a night full of recognition for the great kids in our community.

Saturday, April 6 vs. Midland - 7:05 p.m.
* Girl Scouts Night: Girl Scouts from across North Texas converge on Dr Pepper Ballpark and will finish the night with a special postgame campout on the field.

Sunday, April 7 vs. Midland - 4:05 p.m.
* Whataburger Art Calendar giveaway: The first 1,500 fans receive this special item, featuring artwork from local kids. The selected artists will be recognized as part of the evening.
* Autism Awareness Night: The Riders will have special sensory areas set up throughout the park to accommodate autistic fans and raise awareness about the experiences of those living with autism.

About the RoughRiders
The Frisco RoughRiders are the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers and play their games at beautiful Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas. The team was founded in 2003 and has finished first among all Double-A franchises in attendance in each of the last 14 seasons (2005-2018). In August 2014, the RoughRiders were purchased by an ownership group led by Chuck Greenberg.
