Storm Chasers shortstop Jecksson Flores homered and drove in two runs and right fielder Brett Phillips collected three hits and three runs, while center fielder Erick Mejia drove in three runs including the game-winner on tenth-inning sacrifice fly in Omaha's 10-9 win over the New Orleans Baby Cakes on Thursday night at Werner Park.

The back-and-forth affair featured four lead changes, with Mejia delivering the final blow with his sacrifice fly in the tenth that allowed 2B Chase d'Arnaud to score. Baby Cakes 3B Eddy Alvarez forced the extra frame by mashing a leadoff solo shot to left in the top of the ninth. Flores hit a game-tying longball of his own in the sixth, matching Omaha and New Orleans at 7-7 in the sixth.
The game featured four home runs as the two teams combined for 22 roundtrippers over the course of the four-game series at Werner Park, with Thursday's victory giving the Storm Chasers the 3-1 series win. It was also the third straight one-run triumph for Omaha, who has been victorious in eight of their last nine matchups at Werner Park.
Phillips (3-3, 3 R, 3B, BB) was the lone Storm Chasers batter to record a multi-hit effort with his three knocks, while New Orleans SS Deven Marrero (3-5, R), C Tyler Heineman (2-4, R, RBI), LF Isaac Galloway (2-4, R, HR, 4 BRI) and 2B Isan Diaz (2-5, 2 R, RBI) all collecting two or more hits. Flores has now recorded a knock in 13 of his last 14 games with Omaha dating back to June 30.
Neither Storm Chasers starter Eric Skoglund (6.0 IP, 11 H, 7 R, 6 ER, 2 BB, 5 K) nor New Orleans' Cody Poteet (3.0 IP, 3 H, 4 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 3 K) factored in the final decisions. Omaha reliever Josh Staumont (2.0 IP, H, R, ER, 5 K) earned the win while Baby Cakes righty R.J. Alvarez (0.2 IP, R, 0 ER, 2 BB, K) suffered the defeat.
The Storm Chasers are set to continue their homestand by starting a three-game set with the Memphis Redbirds on Friday night. The series opener is scheduled to start at 7:05pm CT.
