Papillion, Neb. – The Omaha Storm Chasers (33-35) fell in game four 8-3 to the Columbus Clippers (40-30). The series is now tied at 2-2 but Omaha still holds an edge in the season series 6-4.

The Clippers scored the game’s first run for the third time through the first four games of the series, hitting a homer in the first to take a 1-0 lead.

Right-hander Carlos Hernández (Loss, 1-4) went 5.0 innings, allowing four earned runs on five hits with six strikeouts and just one walk.

First baseman Nick Pratto led off the bottom of the sixth with a walk before Eaton earned his third hit in as many at bats, putting a pair of runners on with nobody out. Designated hitter Vinnie Pasquantino beat out a double play to put runners at the corners and left fielder Brewer Hicklen juiced the bases for Omaha with a walk.

Second baseman Michael Massey scored the first Storm Chaser run with a single and third baseman Clay Dungan scored another with a sacrifice fly to cut the Columbus lead to 6-2 through six.

William Hancock came in to pinch hit in the ninth, drawing a leadoff walk and moving to second on a wild pitch. Center fielder Dairon Blanco hit a double to score Hancock, but a Clippers double play cleared the bases.
