This year the PawSox have added "Giveaways Every Friday Night" to their popular "Fireworks Every Saturday Night," introduced in 2017. With 13 nights of fireworks - the most ever presented by the club - the full promotional schedule bearing the slogan, "Even More Fun, Still a Bargain" was released today.
The PawSox are pleased to announce they will hold the line on all ticket prices for the 2018 season. The lowest priced tickets - $6 in advance for children & seniors and $9 in advance for adults - remain unchanged for the 4th year in a row.
When purchased in advance, green (Field Box) seats will again be $14 while the red seats (Reserved Box) will continue to be $13. General Admission tickets will once again cost just $9 and General Admission tickets for children (aged 12 & under) will remain only $6, as will tickets for seniors (aged 62 & over). Again this season, tickets purchased on the day of the game will cost $2 more than those purchased in advance of the day of the game.
According to Minor League Baseball's 2017 Fan Cost Survey, covering all 160 Minor League teams, a PawSox game has the lowest cost in all of Triple-A Baseball and is among the most affordable in all of Minor League Baseball. The average cost for a family of four to enjoy a game at McCoy is only $55; a price that includes parking, two adult tickets, two child tickets, four hot dogs, two sodas, and two beers. The PawSox are well below the average ($66.17) in Minor League Baseball.
Fireworks will follow every Saturday night game as well as Monday and Tuesday, July 2 and 3 (for Independence Day), and Sunday evening, September 2 (for Labor Day). The pyrotechnics will again be choreographed to various musical themes, from Bruce Springsteen, the Beatles, and the music of Margaritaville to Harry Potter, Pixar, Princess & Pirates, and the always-popular Star Wars Night, often the first to sell out.
In addition to more fireworks, the club will now have premium giveaways at every Friday Night home game.
"Moms and Dads have told us they appreciate the reliability of knowing that if it's a Saturday night, a grand fireworks display is scheduled," said PawSox President Dr. Charles A. Steinberg. "So too have they told us that they would enjoy the reliability of great giveaways every Friday Night."
Bobbleheads featuring current Red Sox star Rafael Devers (July 28), our favorite football quarterback - the G.O.A.T. - and a Red Sox legend voted on by the fans (August 17) headline the list. Replica jerseys of Pedro Martinez and Roger Clemens will be given away to fans on June 22 and July 27 respectively.
Great giveaways include a Nomar Garciaparra Gnome (aka a Gnome-ar Gnome) as well as mugs, baseball caps, calendars, cell phone chargers, and even a toothbrush holder.
