Portland, Maine- Deiner Lopez had two hits and three RBIs - including the game-winning RBI in the eighth as the Sea Dogs (51-68) won their second straight game over the Trenton Thunder (65-55) 6-5 on Wednesday night at Hadlock Field.

Jhon Nunez worked a leadoff walk in the eighth with the game tied 5-5. After a sac bunt by Danny Mars and a wild pitch to advance Nunez to third, Lopez hit a sharp grounder to third that was knocked down by Mandy Alvarez, who threw home just late as Nunez slid in ahead of the tag.
The Sea Dogs led for the first seven innings of the ballgame. Portland got on the board early thanks to an RBI double by Bobby Dalbec in the first and a two-run double by Chad De La Guerra in the 2nd off of Thunder starter Trevor Stephan (ND).
Dedgar Jimenez (ND) threw five hitless innings in his start for the Sea Dogs to preserve the lead. The lefty from Venezuela walked four and fanned six.
After Trenton plated an unearned run in the sixth off of Jake Cosart, the Sea Dogs responded with two more runs in the sixth on a bloop double by Lopez to extend their lead to 5-1.
Trenton rallied late in the game to tie things up. The Thunder scored three more runs off of Cosart in the seventh to pull within a run, then tied the game with an unearned run off of Trey Ball (W, 3-3) in the eighth.
Stephan allowed three runs on six hits over 4.2 innings with one walk and seven strikeouts.
Josh Taylor earned his fifth save of the year by pitching a scoreless ninth while allowing one hit and striking out one.
Matt Frawley (L, 1-1) was the losing pitcher, he allowed a run on no hits and a walk in 1.1 innings.
