Portland, Maine - Matt Kent allowed just two hits over 6.2 scoreless innings and the Sea Dogs (53-69) beat the Altoona Curve (66-55) 3-0 in front of 7,236 on Saturday night at Hadlock Field.

Portland, Maine - Matt Kent allowed just two hits over 6.2 scoreless innings and the Sea Dogs (53-69) beat the Altoona Curve (66-55) 3-0 in front of 7,236 on Saturday night at Hadlock Field.

Kent (W, 9-8) didn't allow a hit until there was one out in the sixth inning when Alfredo Reyes hit a 48-mph Eephus pitch into left field for a single. The lefty walked four and struck out three.
Portland took a 1-0 lead in the second on an RBI single by Danny Mars off of Cam Vieaux that scored Bobby Dalbec.
After Kent worked out of a two-on-one-out jam in the top of the sixth, the Sea Dogs rallied for two more runs in the bottom of the sixth on RBI doubles by Dalbec and Jordan Betts to extend the lead to 3-0.
Vieaux (L, 8-4) allowed three runs on six hits over 5.1 innings, he walked two and fanned one.
Dalbec finished 2-for-3 with two doubles, two runs scored and was hit by a pitch.
Trevor Kelley relieved Kent and pitched 1.1 hitless innings while allowing just one baserunner on a walk. Josh Taylor allowed two singles in the ninth but was able to close it out to lock down his sixth save of the season.
The Sea Dogs and Altoona Curve (Pirates affiliate) wrap-up a three-game series on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 PM from Hadlock Field. LHP Kyle Hart (78-8, 3.55) takes on RHP Dario Agrazal (4-3, 2.54).
