Sea Dogs to Host Tribute to Elvis on August 17th

Portland, Maine- The Sea Dogs will host a tribute to Elvis night at the ballpark on the anniversary of his scheduled 1977 Portland, Maine performance. The tribute to The King will take place on Friday, August 17th at Hadlock Field when the Sea Dogs take on the Altoona Curve at


Portland, Maine- The Sea Dogs will host a tribute to Elvis night at the ballpark on the anniversary of his scheduled 1977 Portland, Maine performance. The tribute to The King will take place on Friday, August 17th at Hadlock Field when the Sea Dogs take on the Altoona Curve at 7:00 PM.

The Sea Dogs Tribute to Elvis night will include Dana Z as Elvis performing pre-game on the front plaza at Hadlock Field from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. 
Any fan that sings Hound Dog (minimum of four lines) at the ticket window, will receive a buy one, get one free ticket offer. Any fan that still has a ticket from his scheduled August 17th, 1977 Portland, Maine concert, will get to throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Please contact the Sea Dogs prior to 6:00 PM on August 17th if you have the ticket and would like to throw out the first pitch.
As part of the tribute to the King of Rock Roll, the Sea Dogs will serve peanut butter and banana sandwiches at the Shipyard Grill.
Elvis Presley died on August 16th, 1977 at the age of 42 at his Graceland home in Memphis, Tennessee, one day before he was scheduled to perform in Portland.
