For the first time in the 28 season franchise history of the Salt Lake franchise, the Bees lost in ten innings to the Sugar Land Space Cowboys 1-0 on a bases loaded hit batter. After Salt Lake could not score the automatic runner in the top of the tenth, Sugar Land runner Scott Marea advanced on an error by Bees' third baseman Jose Gomez. One out later, Jake Meyers was intentionally walked before Nash Walters (0-1) hit Corey Julks on an 0-2 pitch to end the game.

The two teams combined for only six hits in the game with each team collecting three hits. The Bees did not record a hit after Jake Palomaki led off the third inning with a bunt single. Starter Kenny Rosenberg went five innings and allowed no runs on one hit with six strikeouts and one walk. In the second appearance of his Major League injury rehab assignment, Archie Bradley went one inning and gave up one hit with one strikeout. The loss was also a franchise record tenth walk off loss of the season and the seventh game that they were shutout in 2022.
