The Salt Lake Bees claimed their third consecutive series win with a 6-4 decision over the Reno Aces on Sunday night. The victory gives the Bees a 4-2 series win. Salt Lake jumped in front with four runs in the first inning. Kean Wong and David MacKinnon walked with Wong coming home on a single to center by Michael Stefanic. One out later, Chad Wallach drilled a three run homer into the bullen in right field for a 4-0 lead. Reno would get a run in the second, but the Bees came back with two runs in the fourth on a leadoff homer by Jake Gatewood and a bases loaded walk to Stefanic.

The Aces would get back to within two at 6-4 with one run in the fourth and two in the fifth, but the bullpen would keep Reno off the board the rest of the game. Elvis Peguero and Jose Marte, each pitching for the first time since being optioned down by the Angels, would retire the final ten Reno hitters with Marte earning his third save. Kyle Barraclough (3-3) worked one inning and allowed one run to pick up the win. Jose Rojas doubled in the third inning to extend his hitting streak to 19 games, while MacKinnon walked twice to stretch his on-base streak to 34 games.
