Fan Voting Underway for Triple-A All-Star Game

June 2, 2015
SALT LAKE CITY (June 2, 2015) - Voting for the 2015 Triple-A All-Star Game has officially begun. Fans can vote for their favorite Salt Lake Bees players to represent the Pacific Coast League at the Triple-A midsummer classic held at Werner Park in Omaha, Nebraska, on July 15. The 28th edition of the Triple-A All-Star Game will be nationally televised on MLB Network as well as online via MiLB.TV.

Voting is available at www.slbees.com or on the MiLB First Pitch app. Fan voting will account for one-third of the total vote in determining the starting lineups for both All-Star teams. Votes from members of the media, each club's field manager, coaches and general manager will make up the remainder of the balloting.

Fans will be able to vote for players on both the PCL and International League rosters and can cast their vote up to 25 times per day. For each league, fans can select one player for each of the infield positions, plus three outfielders, one catcher, one designated hitter, and four pitchers - two starters and two relievers. Write-in votes for players not listed will also be accepted.

Four Bees players on the ballot have been selected to previous Triple-A All-Star teams. Starting pitcher Nick Tropeano was selected to the PCL team in 2014 with Oklahoma City. In 2013, designated hitter Grant Green and outfielder Roger Kieschnick represented the PCL for Sacramento and Fresno, respectively. Outfielder Daniel Robertson suited up for the PCL in 2012 with Tucson.

Thirty-two Salt Lake City players have made the Triple-A All-Star Game roster in team history, including Major League standouts Todd Walker, Howie Kendrick, Mark Trumbo and Kole Calhoun. Salt Lake City hosted the Triple-A All-Star Game in 1996 and 2011.

The Bees return home to Smith's Ballpark on Saturday, June 6, for eight games against the Albuquerque Isotopes and Fresno Grizzlies through Sunday, June 14. The homestand features a Kole Calhoun bobblehead giveaway on June 6, Green Night on June 8, Bee Healthy Week from June 11-13, and a postgame fireworks show on June 13. Tickets and additional information about the team is available on www.slbees.com.
