A seven-run sixth inning propelled the Albuquerque Isotopes to a 12-7 victory over the Salt Lake Bees on Tuesday night at Smith’s Ballpark.

Albuquerque led 3-2 going into the sixth inning before breaking the game wide open with the big inning. The Isotopes pounded out 18 hits, tying a season-high for hits surrendered by Salt Lake pitchers. The Bees would score a run in the seventh, three in the eighth and another in the ninth, but it would not be enough for a comeback

Jo Adell was the offensive star for the Bees, hitting his Minor League Baseball high 16th home run of the season in the third inning. Adell would follow up with an RBI double in the eighth for a multi-hit night. Anthony Bemboom would add a solo home run in the ninth as six of the Bees' six hits went for extra bases. The win earned the Isotopes a split of the series with each team taking three games.

Salt Lake will take Wednesday off before traveling to Sacramento to begin a six-game series with the River Cats. Fans can follow the team on the road on the Zone Sports Network with Steve Klauke on the call or tune into MiLB.tv using promo code SLBEES to save $10 on a subscription.
