TCL Flying Chanclas Shutout Brazos Valley

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Flying Chanclas extended their perfect record to 7-0 after a Saturday night shutout victory against the Brazos Valley Bombers. It was a pitcher’s duel through the first three innings of the ballgame. San Antonio starter Dylan Bright battled against Carson Atwood for the Bombers.

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Flying Chanclas extended their perfect record to 7-0 after a Saturday night shutout victory against the Brazos Valley Bombers.

It was a pitcher’s duel through the first three innings of the ballgame. San Antonio starter Dylan Bright battled against Carson Atwood for the Bombers.

San Antonio broke the scoreless tie in the fourth inning. Cole Posey and Zac Vooletich both scored runs during the inning. Posey scored after leading off the inning with a walk. He advanced to third on a base hit from Vooletich. He then scored on a wild pitch. Vooletich later scored following a base hit from Ryan Flores and fielder’s choice from Brandon Broughton.

The Flying Chanclas added two more runs in the sixth inning. Posey once again began the inning with a walk. He reached third on a throwing error and then scored on a fielder’s choice from Vooletich. Vooletich later scored during a double play turned by Brazos Valley.

Dylan Bright pitched four shutout innings for San Antonio before handing it off to Jaime Ramirez, Jr. Ramirez pitched well before he was removed after taking a comebacker off his throwing hand. Dylan Johnson replaced him and finished the game for San Antonio.

The San Antonio Flying Chanclas improve to 7-0 on the season. They are back in action Tuesday, June 8th on the road against Acadiana. They return to Nelson Wolff Stadium on Tuesday, June 22nd to face Brazos Valley.
