Extra Innings Sports Equipment Drive

Mission Statement:

The San Antonio Missions Extra Innings Sports Equipment Drive is dedicated to empowering local youth by providing access to the sports equipment they need to play, grow, and thrive. Through the generosity of our fans and community, we aim to collect and distribute new and gently used gear to ensure every child has the opportunity to experience the joy, teamwork, and life lessons that come from sports. Together, we’re building a stronger, more inclusive future — one glove, ball, and bat at a time.

Vision:

We envision a community where every child, regardless of background, has the chance to step onto the field/court/pitch with confidence and pride. By rallying together through the Extra Innings Sports Equipment Drive, we’re creating opportunities, breaking down barriers, and inspiring the next generation of athletes to dream big and play hard. Our vision is simple: a future where sports are accessible, inclusive, and transformative for all.

What we’re collecting:

We’re accepting new and gently used sports equipment for kids of all ages. Suggested items include:

Baseball / Softball: gloves, bats, balls, batting helmets*, cleats, catcher’s gear

Basketball: basketballs, shoes, training cones or accessories

Soccer: soccer balls, shin guards, cleats, goalie gloves

Football: footballs, helmets*, shoulder pads, cleats

Other Gear: volleyballs, tennis rackets, sports bags/backpacks, cones, agility equipment, and training aids

Please Note: We cannot accept worn-out, broken, or heavily damaged equipment. All donations should be safe and functional for youth athletes. Our overall guidance is to donate equipment that you would allow your kids to use.

*The Foundation reserves the right to reject any headgear item regardless of age or condition.
