Ports To Unveil POW/MIA Seat Of Honor On Saturday
STOCKTON, Calif.- The Stockton Ports will be installing a POW/MIA (Prisoner of War/Missing in Action) Seat of Honor at Banner Island Ballpark which will be unveiled this Saturday, June 4th on Military Appreciation Night.
The seat will be located at the top of Section 105 and will remain vacant for all Stockton Ports home games to honor and bring awareness to those who have served our country and still remain unaccounted for.
"The installation of the POW/MIA seat is an incredible addition to the ballpark, and it is our privilege to support such a cause," said General Manager Bryan Meadows. "We know that the seat will not only bring awareness to the matter, but it will also bring people in the Stockton community together to pay tribute to our missing service men and women."
Active military personnel and veterans will be on-hand Saturday evening to assist in the unveiling, which will take place in a pre-game ceremony.
Additionally, as part of Military Appreciation Night, anyone with a valid military ID will receive a $3 off MVP tickets for the game that night at the Stockton Ports Box Office.
