Ports Unveil Silver Sluggers Program

February 20, 2006
STOCKTON, Calif-- The Stockton Ports are pleased to announce the addition of a new senior program to the club in 2006 that will allow fans age 55 and older to attend all Wednesday home games for free at Banner Island Ballpark.

For only a $5 membership fee, 'Silver Sluggers' club members will receive free admission to all eleven Ports Wednesday home games, as well as a free baseball cap, attendance incentives, and the opportunity to play baseball bingo during the games. The program is part of a Ports initiative to reach out to the Central Valley's senior demographic and make Ports baseball available to as many fans as possible.

"We're thrilled to launch this excellent program," said Zack Bayrouty, Manager of Broadcasting and Community Relations. "The Ports are happy to be taking a step forward in making a night at the ballpark affordable for everyone, especially our seniors."

Wednesday night is also baseball bingo night at the ballpark. All fans are given bingo cards as they pass through the gates, and after each out is recorded, a new bingo number is called. Prizes are awarded throughout the night to any fan who records a BINGO.

To receive a 'Silver Sluggers' club application or for more information on the program, visit the Ports' official website at www.stocktonports.com or call the Ports at (209) 644-1900.
