VANCOUVER, BC – Thursday’s scheduled postgame fireworks extravaganza at historic Rogers Field at Nat Bailey Stadium has been cancelled. With wildfires continuing to affect countless British Columbians and Pacific Northwest residents on both sides of the border, the provincial government’s state of emergency has been sustained for multiple weeks and the resources required to safely put on the show remain required elsewhere.

In lieu of the fireworks show, the Canadians will be making a monetary donation to United Way’s BC Wildfire Recovery Fund to aid in the relief efforts across the province.

“While we had hoped to put on one last fireworks show for the 2026 season, we are reminded of the importance of supporting victims, first responders and the many organizations at work across the province as they navigate the devastation caused by the recent wildfires,” C’s General Manager Allan Bailey said. “It is our honour to contribute to the United Way’s BC Wildlife Recovery Fund to further the critical work being done to support all those affected.”

Fireworks will return to The Nat in 2027. Those dates will be announced at the beginning of next year.
