(Memorial Stadium - Everett, WA) - McGregory Contreras hit his 5th and 6th home runs of the season, and yet it was Troy Dixon's home run in the bottom of the 9th inning that proved to be the winner as Everett handed the Canadians a second straight walk-off defeat, this time it was a 3-2 loss on Thursday afternoon out at Memorial Stadium.  
Vancouver (20-20; 1-2) opened the scoring on the first of two home runs from McGregory Contreras in the top of the 3rd inning off reliever RHP Ivan Fortunato giving the C's a 1-0 lead. Troy Dixon, who was hitting .181 coming into the game, tied things up with an RBI single to right that scored Bobby Honeyman.
Connor Hoover would give the Aquasox their first lead of the game in the bottom of the 4th when his single brought home Nick Rodriguez.
Vancouver struggled against Aquasox pitching until the 8th when McGregory Contreras hit his 2nd home run of the day, on the 9th pitch of an at-bat against Noah Zavolas tying the game at 2-2.
In the bottom of the 9th inning, Canadians reliever LHP Marcus Reyes, one of Vancouver's most dominant arms, left a pitch out over the heart of the plate and Troy Dixon hit it out of Memorial Stadium to give Everett a walk-off 3-2 win that improved them to 2-1 on the second half and 6-3 vs Vancouver this season.
With the loss, Vancouver now returns home to face the Eugene Emeralds for the first of five games on Friday, July 27th at 7:05pm out at sold out Scotiabank Field. The Canadians announced that Friday (July 27), Saturday (July 28 at 7:05pm) and Sunday (July 29 at 1:05pm) are all sold out dates with Monday (July 30) and Tuesday (July 31) as the only dates remaining with tickets to this series.
