Reds Caravan to make stop at Louisville Slugger Field

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The 2014 Reds Caravan will make its annual stop in Louisville on Thursday, January 23 at Louisville Slugger Field from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The event will feature Reds President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Walt Jocketty, COO Phil Castellini, broadcaster Thom Brennaman, broadcaster Jim Day, pitcher Mat Latos, catcher and fan favorite Corky Miller, minor league outfielder Ryan LaMarre and Bats mascot Buddy Bat.

The 2014 Reds Caravan provides fans with the opportunity to interact with current and former players, broadcasters and members of the Reds front office staff. At each fan stop, the group will field questions from fans and sign autographs while time allows.

Sales representatives from both the Cincinnati Reds and Louisville Bats will be on hand to discuss season tickets and group outings. The Reds Hall of Fame, the Reds Community Fund and Cincinnati USA Regional Tourism Network will attend selected stops.

The Bats start 2014 with an exhibition game against the Reds at Louisville Slugger Field on March 29 before opening the 2014 regular season campaign on the road in Toledo on Friday, April 4. The Bats begin their home schedule on Thursday, April 10 against Columbus with the first of 11 $1 Budweiser happy hours of the year. Tickets for the exhibition game and all regular season games, including April 12 for Thunder Over Louisville, are available now. The 2014 season will mark both the Bats' 15th season at Louisville Slugger Field and their 15th season as the top affiliate of the Reds.
