INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Louisville Bats (4-5) and Indianapolis Indians (4-5) had quite the pitching duel Friday night at Victory Field going into the first extra-inning ballgame for both clubs this season. The Indians took the game 3-2 in 13 innings. The Bats were 8-4 last year in extra-inning games.

Bats right-hander Raisel Iglesias (0-0) made his Triple-A debut after starting one game for the Cincinnati Reds this season (5.40 ERA, 0-0). The Bats jumped out to a quick 1-0 leadin the first inning by a Bryson Smith's RBI single, bringing in Steve Selsky who had previously doubled to the wall. Selsky's double was his first of the season.

In the bottom of the 4th inning the Indians tied the game at 1-1 with a RBI double by right fielder Steve Lombardozzi, which scored the Indians' Jaff Decker. The Bats finally got some momentum and took the lead in the top of the 13th from a RBI single by Dan Johnson scoring Irving Falu, who led off the 13th with a single to center.

The Indians followed up with a rally of their own as Bats righty Nick Christiani walked Decker and Mel Rojas, Jr. to start the 13th. Lombardozzi singled to score Decker and pinch hitter Elias Diaz came in to win the game with a RBI single scoring Rojas, Jr.

Indians right hander, Casey Sadler (1-0) pitched an exceptional ballgame and almost identical to Iglesias. He went six innings, allowing only four hits, one earned run with four strikeouts.
