Bats win game three and the series

LOUISVILLE, KY- The Louisville Bats (39-57) take the series against the Syracuse Chiefs (33-61) by a score of 9-5 in the final game of this three-game series.
The Chiefs scored two runs in the first just like they did on Monday thanks to another 2-run home run by Clint Robinson.
The Bats answered back with a run of their own in the second inning when Zach Vincej scored Eric Jagielo on an infield single.
The Chiefs wasted no time to add on two more runs in the third after the former Bat, Neftali Soto ripped an RBI double to center field, scoring Andrew Stevenson and another former Bat, Irving Falu.
The Bats Alex Blandino hit's a solo home run for his second home run of the season and to cut the Chiefs lead in half and make it 4-2 after four innings of play.
The Chiefs added another run in the sixth inning after Soto hits his second double of the game and later scored on a Robinson RBI double.
The Chiefs started right-handed pitcher Erick Fedde (1-1, 5.57) recorded a no decision while pitching five innings, giving up seven hits, two runs, both earned, one home run, and tallied three strike outs.
The Bats scored four in the sixth to take a 6-5 lead. The teams leading RBI getter, Dilson Herrera was accountable for three of the four runs thanks to his pinch-hit 3-RBI double.
The Bats started right-hander Jackson Stephens (6-5, 4.82) picked up his sixth win while pitching six innings, allowing six hits, five runs, only three were earned, one walk and home run, and recorded two strikeouts.
The Bats added on three insurance runs in the eighth highlighted by a 2-RBI single by Jagielo, who also recorded his first multi-hit game with the Bats with this season.
The Bats will be back in action tomorrow night at Louisville Slugger Field to take on the Buffalo Bison's for a four-game series. The Bats plan on starting right-hander Tyler Mahle (1-3, 3.54) and the Bison's plan on starting right-hander Luis Santos (3-7, 3.79). First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
