Bats lose another one-run ball game, 3-2

LOUISVILLE, KY- The Louisville Bats (44-68) lost another close one-run game to the Indianapolis Indians (61-52) by a score of 3-2 here at Louisville Slugger Field.
The Bats strike first in the first after Tyler Goeddel traded places with Darnell Sweeney after an RBI double that scored Sweeney.
The Indians didn't wait long to take the lead back after they scored two of their own in the top half of the second, highlighted by an RBI double by Gift Ngoepe.
The Bats Zach Vincej tied the game up in the bottom half of the second when he recorded his 17^th RBI of the year with a single to left field, scoring Eric Jagielo from second.
The Indians regained the lead in the fourth inning thanks to a sacrifice fly by Joey Terdoslavich which allowed Kevin Newman to tag up and score from third.
The Bats started right-handed pitcher Jackson Stephens (7-7, 5.11) recorded a loss tonight while pitching four innings, allowing six hits, three runs, all earned, and five walks.
The Indians started right-handed pitcher Tyler Glasnow (7-0, 1.61) received the win tonight while pitching six innings, allowed five hits, two runs, both were earned, one walk and recorded seven strikeouts.
The Bats bullpen took over in the fifth inning and pitched a flawless five innings where they only allowed two hits and no runs.
The Bats and Indians will wrap-up the three-game series tomorrow night with first pitch scheduled for 6:05 pm at Louisville Slugger Field. The Bats are expected to start right-handed pitcher Tyler Mahle (2-3, 2.76), while the Indians are expected to start left-handed pitcher Steven Brault (8-5, 2.20).
