The Isotopes were only able to score two runs on the evening despite recording 10 hits against the El Paso pitching staff. Raimel Tapia led the way, finishing the night 4-for-5 with an RBI.
Albuquerque starter Matt Flemer had recorded wins in five of his last six outings but took the loss on Tuesday. The right-hander allowed three runs in his 4.0 innings on the hill, striking out six and walking none.
Isotopes reliever Jerry Vasto tossed 2.0 scoreless innings out of the bullpen while Nelson Gonzalez yielded one run over his 2.0 innings on the mound.
The Isotopes look to get back into the win column on Wednesday when southpaw Sam Howard (4-2, 3.88) toes the rubber. He will be opposed by the Chihuahuas Kyle Lloyd (0-3, 7.03). First pitch from Southwest University Park is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
