Isotopes Split Doubleheader with Grizzlies

The Isotopes (38-37) took game one but dropped game two of Saturday's doubleheader, splitting the twin-bill with the Fresno Grizzlies (46-29). Despite the loss in game two, the Isotopes have won six of their last eight contests.

Antonio Senzatela started game one for the Isotopes, allowing one earned run over his 3.1 innings on the hill. The right-hander struck out five and walked three, receiving a no-decision.
A pair of Rockies rehabbing relievers made an appearance for the Isotopes in game one. Mike Dunn recorded a perfect inning out of the bullpen while Scott Oberg tossed a scoreless ninth inning, picking up the save.
At the plate, Mike Tauchman and Raimel Tapia each collected two hits and knocked home a run in the seven-inning contest. The Isotopes came away with a 3-2 victory.
Meanwhile in game two's 2-1 loss, the Isotopes offense mustered just two hits as a team. The only run of the game came on Ryan McMahon's solo home run, his fourth of the season for Albuquerque.
On the mound in game two, Nelson Gonzalez had a solid outing. The right-hander did not allow an earned run over his 5.0 innings of work. Gonzalez struck out seven Fresno batters while issuing one walk.
Rockies' left-hander Zac Rosscup recorded a scoreless inning out of the bullpen in game two for the Isotopes.
After Sunday's off-day, the Isotopes return to Albuquerque on Monday to begin a four-game series with the Sacramento River Cats.
