The Isotopes (44-42) blanked the Rainiers (45-42) on Thursday, shutting out Tacoma by a score of 2-0. The victory marks the first shutout for the Isotopes since Aug. 31, 2017.

Albuquerque starter Jeff Hoffman shut down the Rainiers over his 4.0 innings on the mound, allowing two hits while striking two and walking two. Hoffman earned a no-decision since he did not reach 5.0 innings pitched.
Isotopes right-hander David Holman picked up the win in relief of Hoffman. The 28-year-old retired the last 11 batters he faced while also sitting down 12 of the last 13 Rainiers hitters to come to the plate.
PCL All-Star D.J. Johnson came on in the ninth inning to pick up his 12th save of the season.
On the hill opposite the Isotopes, Rainiers starter Ross Detwiler took the loss despite pitching a complete game.
At the plate for the Isotopes, Ryan McMahon provided all of the offense on a two-run single in the bottom of the third.
Albuquerque and Tacoma are back in action on Friday at Isotopes Park. The Green Chile Cheeseburgers will take the field against the Rainiers. First pitch from "The Grill" is set for 6:35 p.m.
