Summary
Akron's Triston McKenzie fanned a season-high eight batters, and Jodd Carter cracked his first Double-A home run, as the RubberDucks captured a 5-1 victory over the Harrisburg Senators Saturday night at FNB Field in Harrisburg, Pa.

Turning Point
The RubberDucks (69-55) rallied from a 1-0 deficit with a pair of runs in the fifth inning against Logan Darnell (7-6). Carter led off the inning with a single and advanced to second when Ka'ai Tom reached on an error. Sam Haggerty moved the runners up a base with a sacrifice bunt, and Ernie Clement chased Carter home with a fielder's choice to tie the game, 1-1. After a walk to Andrew Calica, Tyler Krieger delivered a two-out, RBI single to drive in Tom and give the Ducks a 2-1 lead.
Mound Presence
McKenzie (7-3) came up big for the Ducks. The right-hander went 6.2 innings and held the Senators to just one run on three hits. He walked one and struck out eight. He allowed a run in the third inning on a wild pitch, but shut down the Senators thereafter. Lefty R.C. Orlan entered the game with a man on and two outs in the seventh and tossed scoreless relief to close out the win.
Duck Tales
Carter stroked a two-run homer in the sixth off Harrisburg reliever Ronald Peña to make it 4-1. It was Carter's first homer at the Double-A level. Nellie Rodríguez chipped in an insurance run with an RBI single in the seventh to extend the lead to 5-1. Carter, Andrew Calica, Li-Jen Chu and Mark Mathias all had two hits apiece for the RubberDucks.
Notebook
Mathias is now 6-18 (.333) on the road trip…Akron has split the first two games with the Senators (63-59) and is 2-3 on the road trip… Altoona's 3-0 loss at Portland Saturday gives the RubberDucks a 1.5 game lead with 16 games left…The Senators fell to five games back …Time of game: 2:46… Attendance: 5,271.
