Summary
Harrisburg's Tyler Mapes allowed just one run over six innings in his return to the EL, and Taylor Gushue drove in four runs, as the Senators thumped the RubberDucks, 12-2, Saturday night at Canal Park in Akron, Ohio.

Turning Point
The Senators (39-35) scored four times on five hits in the third inning against Triston McKenzie (1-2). Gushue capped the rally with a sacrifice fly to make it 4-0.
Mound Presence
Mapes (1-0) made his first start for the Senators after being called up from High-A. He was an EL all-star with the Senators in 2016, when he won 12 games in 24 starts. He missed all of 2017 with an injury. On Saturday, he allowed just one run on four hits over six innings. He fanned six and walked only one.
Duck Tales 
Connor Marabell got the RubberDucks (42-32) on the board in the fourth with an RBI single. His team-high, 40thRBI drove in Willie Castro, who had doubled. Marabell added a lead-off triple in the seventh and scored on a single by Mark Mathias to make it 8-2.

The Senators pounded out 12 runs on 16 hits…McKenzie (1-2) started for the RubberDucks and allowed four runs on eight hits in 4.2 innings…Harrisburg added four more runs in the seventh off a trio of Akron relievers to extend the lead to 8-1…Gushue's two-run double off Rob Kaminsky was the big hit of the inning …Gushue collected his fourth RBI with a fielder's choice in the eighth inning when the Sens extended the lead to 9-2…Akron right-fielder Andrew Calica made a spectacular diving catch in the seventh, robbing Carter Kieboom of extra bases…The teams have split the first two games of the series, forcing the rubber game on Sunday…Time of game: 3:12… Attendance: 6,517.
