Turning Point
The Flying Squirrels (24-21) snapped a 4-4 tie in the seventh inning when Davis belted a run-scoring double off Akron reliever Kieran Lovegrove. Davis's double drove in Ryan Howard, who had reached on a fielder's choice against right-hander Nick Pasquale (2-2). 
Mound Presence
Akron lefty Sean Brady allowed four runs on five hits over his 5.1 innings. He allowed a run in the first on an RBI double by Davis and fell behind 3-0 when the Squirrels scored two more in the third on a double by Ryan Howard and a sacrifice fly by Davis. 
Duck Tales 
The RubberDucks (29-20) battled back to tie the game with three in the fourth against Mike Connolly (2-2). Ka'ai Tom slapped an RBI single to center, and Daniel Salters chipped in a two-run double to knot the score. Akron forged in front in the fifth on a walk by Andrew Calica, a double by Connor Marabell and a productive, RBI groundout by Joe Sever to make it 4-3.
