Trace Loehr dropped an RBI single in the seventh inning, scoring Hunter Hargrove and put the Beloit Snappers (18-20) ahead for good in their 3-2 victory over the Quad Cities River Bandits (23-19) Sunday afternoon before 410 fans.

After dropping the first game of the series 3-2 on Friday, the Snappers bounced back with solid pitching to win the last two games and take two of three in the series.
With the River Bandits leading 2-0 into the bottom of the sixth and the Snappers still looking for their first baserunner, Jesus Lage picked up his first hit as a Snapper on a bloop single to right field.
After a Mickey McDonald double, Lazaro "Lazarito" Armenteros lined a two-run single that scored McDonald and Hargrove to tie the game.
Aside from his first hit as a Snapper, Lage's hit in the sixth broke up a perfect game for River Bandits starter Tyler Ivey. Before Lage came to the plate, he had retired 17 of 17 batters.
Snappers starter Bryce Conley was solid in this one, going five innings without surrendering a run and getting five strikeouts.
Jared Poché came on for the final four innings. After surrendering two runs in his first inning of work, he settled down and kept the game in check enough to pick up the win. It was Poché's first professional win.
Hargrove struck out twice, but extended his hitting streak to 15 games with a seventh inning single and eventually scored.
The McDonald double pushed the Snappers extra-base team hitting streak to 25 games. During the streak, they have 47 doubles, six triples and 11 home runs.
The Snappers now will now open a four-game homestand against the Peoria Chiefs. First pitch on Monday is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Pohlman Field.
Monday's Game will feature the WJVL/WCLO Monster Deal Monday. Two General Admission tickets, two hot dogs, two fountain soft drinks, two popcorns, & two adjustable hats, all for just $26. That's a savings of more than $40, thanks to WJVL & WCLO. All 12-oz. domestic drafts are just $1.50.
