Cruisin' WGCM AM-1240 and FM-100.9 to serve as flagship station for Shuckers Radio Network

BILOXI, MS - The Biloxi Shuckers are excited to announce the return of the "Shuckers Radio Network" and Coast Radio's Cruisin' WGCM AM-1240 and the new FM-100.9 as the club's flagship radio station.

The radio network will once again provide Shuckers baseball coverage to radio stations throughout Mississippi. WGCM will serve as the hub for each broadcast, airing all 141 games during the 2016 season, including tomorrow's exhibition game against the Milwaukee Brewers at MGM Park.

"We are excited to once again be partnering with Coast Radio for our radio broadcasts this season," said Shuckers General Manager, Chuck Arnold. "We have a tremendous amount of excitement leading into our second season, and our radio network is just another way for our fans to keep up with the Shuckers all season long!"

Chris Harris returns as the Voice of the Shuckers, entering his eighth year of Minor League Baseball play-by-play. Harris, the 2013 Southern League Broadcaster of the Year, will be joined once again joined by Thaddeus Krzus on each broadcast.

WGCM AM-1240 was the first radio station on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It is the second-oldest in the state. Coast Radio Group has also added the new FM-100.9 that can also be heard throughout Gulfport and Biloxi.

"The Shuckers broadcast crew puts on a very professional and fun broadcast, and we encourage everyone to tune in for our second season… and enjoy the magic that is baseball!" 

Shuckers' game broadcasts will once again be heard on WPMO AM-1580 "The Game" in Pascagoula/Moss Point, WMXI FM-98.1 "The Voice of the Pine Belt" in Hattiesburg/Laurel; select games on WVGG AM-1440 and WRBE FM-106.9 in Lucedale and WRJW AM-1320 in Picayune.

Fans will also be able to listen to every game for free at biloxishuckers.com or by using the free TuneIn Radio app on their mobile, desktop or home devices. Additionally, home games played at MGM Park as well as select road games will be available on MiLB.TV, a subscription-based service provided by Minor League Baseball.

The first radio broadcast will hit the airwaves on Saturday as the Shuckers face off against their parent club, the Milwaukee Brewers at MGM Park. An extended edition of the network pregame show will begin tomorrow at 12:30 pm. The first pitch of the historic exhibition game against the Brewers is at 1:10 pm Select tickets for tomorrow's exhibition game remain and can be purchased at the MGM Park box office or any Ticketmaster outlet. The Shuckers will open the 2016 regular season on Thursday, April 7 against the Chattanooga Lookouts at 6:40 pm.
