Wilmington, DE - With the 2018 season just over a month away, the Wilmington Blue Rocks have announced their day of the week specials for the 70-game home schedule at Frawley Stadium. As always, the goal of the Blue Rocks is to provide affordable, family fun and this season proves to be no different. New to the lineup is Loaded Ticket Tuesday and Guaranteed Giveaway Saturday to go along with returning fan favorites such as Fireworks Friday and Sunday Funday.
To begin, every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday home game is a Kia of Wilmington "Youth League Night" at Frawley Stadium. Kids ages 4 through 12 who visit the box office in their Youth League baseball, softball or T-Ball jersey will receive a complimentary children's ticket with the purchase of a full price adult ticket.
For every Loaded Ticket Tuesday, fans can purchase a $15 Reserve Box ticket and get an $8 loaded value to use either for ballpark food at the main concession stands or to gear up at the Quarry Team Store. Collectors don't want to miss out on Guaranteed Giveaway Saturday, as fans will be able to get a one-of-a-kind giveaway ranging from bobbleheads, caps, baseballs, pop sockets and more.
The Blue Rocks will illuminate the Wilmington night sky once again this season as Fireworks Friday returns to Frawley Stadium. There will be 11 Fireworks Friday displays during the 2018 season with the first coming on Friday, April 13 when the Lynchburg Hillcats are in town for the home opening series. The Blue Rocks will continue to honor our country's servicemen, servicewomen and first responders with Military & First Responders Monday. With a valid ID, Military members and first responders can purchase tickets at the box office for Box and Reserve Box seats for just $1.00 for eight scheduled Monday home games at the ballpark this season.
Who doesn't like the thought of BOGO? Blue Rocks' fans can take advantage of BOGO Wednesday! Purchase one ticket and get a second ticket of equal or lesser value for FREE. Offer is valid on Box, Reserve Box and General Admissions tickets and limited to eight tickets per person. If you get thirsty on Thursday's, then Frawley Stadium is certainly the place to be. Beer:30 Thursday returns as the Blue Rocks and Dogfish Head are crafting Delaware's best new happy hour at Frawley Stadium on the Dogfish Deck. Happy Hour will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. where fans can enjoy the taste of Dogfish Head craft beers on tap, wine and snack on food before first pitch. All college students can also purchase a $5 Reserve Box Ticket with their college ID.
To culminate the day of the week specials for the 2018 campaign, Sunday Funday is back for another season. Kids will be able to play catch on the field before the game and have a chance to meet their favorite Blue Rocks during a free, pre-game autograph session. Kids can also run the bases after each Sunday home game presented by Delaware Theater Company.
The Blue Rocks begin their season on the road against the Potomac Nationals on Thursday, April 5 before playing their home opener at Frawley Stadium on Thursday, April 12 against the Lynchburg Hillcats.
