BRADENTON, Fla. - In the first game of a three game series between the Bradenton Marauders and the Clearwater Threshers at LECOM Park on Friday, the home side squandered an early six run lead to drop the first contest by a 9-6 margin.

In his third overall outing, but just the second officially for RHP Dario Agrazal (he was the pitcher of record on 7/28 vs. Florida when the 3.5 inning suspended game was ultimately cancelled, erasing the stats), the Panamanian set down the Clearwater Threshers in order for five frames with two hits followed by double plays and including 2 strikeouts. The strong start was backed by five runs of support in the very first inning including a Hunter Owen RBI single and the first grand slam of the year for Bligh Madris off Phillies #4 starter as ranked by Baseball America RHP Adonis Media who lasted just two innings. The only other offense in the game for Bradenton was in the third after Jason Delay was hit by a pitch and moved up on a Casey Hughston walk, the final Marauders run was plated when Garrett Brown grounded out to shortstop on a play that scored Delay from third. From the fourth inning through the final out, Bradenton only recorded three hits and four total base runners as the final four of the six total pitchers used by the visitors blanked the Marauders bats for the final five innings of the contest.

The Marauders continue their three game weekend series against the Threshers on Back to School Night at LECOM Park on Saturday at 6:30 pm. RHP Evan Piechota will get the ball for Bradenton and will be opposed by a starter yet to be announced for Clearwater.
