BRADENTON, FL - For the third consecutive night, the Bradenton Marauders were able to come out as winners in a back and forth game against the Jupiter Hammerheads as the home side emerged victorious on Nickelodeon Night at LECOM Park. A pair of runs in the bottom of the eighth inning were enough in front of 2.155 fans on Saturday as the Marauders completed their first series sweep of the 2019 season and extended their longest winning streak so far to three games.

After Bradenton scored the first run of the night in the top of the fourth on an error by Jupiter shortstop Micah Brown, the visitors were able to tie the game at one on a solo home run by Brown to lead off the very next half inning. The Hammerheads took their only lead of the evening in the sixth on an RBI single up the middle on a Lazaro Alonso base knock. The late rally was started on another Brown misplay in the field and was followed up by a pair of hits, including an Adrian Valerio RBI double, his second of the year, and a Travis Swaggerty sacrifice fly to left to score Michael Gretler from third base, and RHP Drew Fischer slammed the door in the top half of the ninth inning for his second save in as many tries this year and moved the Marauders overall record to 12-5 this season. Bradenton's record in home games also improved to 7-1, while the club's record in night contests moved to an impressive 11-2.

The entire Florida State League will enjoy an off day for Easter Sunday before the Marauders welcome the Fort Myers Miracle to LECOM Park for the first three games of the year between the teams, with LHP Oddy Nunez taking the hill for the home side on Monday with first pitch scheduled for 6:30.
